The Management Trainee position is an entry level position designed for both the career-minded college graduate and the experienced retail professional. This position is primarily designed to prepare an individual to oversee 8-11 retail convenience store locations as a District Manager, but may be tailored for a parallel career path position in one of the other major areas of the training program, such as Regional HR Rep, Field Marketing Coordinator, Field Auditor, among others (as openings are available).
The in-depth, hands-on training program is approximately 6 months long and is divided into two phases. Phase I consists of learning store operations and assignment in operating a store. During phase II, the DMT receives training with field and corporate personnel, including Field Management, Human Resources, Marketing, Merchandising, and Safety & Security.
Responsibilities, etc. for positions other than District Manager will be provided as specific openings are available.
- Profit and Loss management, including: planning budgets, maximizing sales, and controlling expenses.
- Staffing, training and supervising Store Managers, implementing merchandising programs, controlling cash and inventory, motivating and team-building, and promoting excellent customer service.
- A company car is provided to District Managers for business use. District Managers also are challenged by a bonus program that rewards store performance and profitability.

Job Requirements
Successful candidates for the District Manager Trainee position must have:
- Previous management experience within a service or retail business and/or a related college degree.
- Prior multi-unit management experience is preferred.
- Prior relevant experience and/or related college degree is preferred for candidates considered for career path training tailored to HR, Marketing, Auditing, etc.
- While the career growth potential within and beyond this position is incredible, the position does require someone who is self-motivated, has 24/7 flexibility and is willing to relocate upon completion of the training. Speedway SuperAmerica is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
The Co-Manager Trainee position at Speedway SuperAmerica LLC is more than just a job, it's an opportunity. After completion of our in-depth, hands-on training program, Co-Managers are assigned to select stores to work alongside some of our most successful Store Managers. Our strong "promote from within" philosophy makes the Co-Manager Trainee position one with true potential for advancement to the ranks of Store Manager, District Manager and beyond.
The position of Co-Manager Trainee is a developmental one, focused on attracting new college graduates as well as experienced retail professionals. This is the position that will enable you to learn, grow and advance to the Store Manager position within the designated market area. Many of the responsibilities of the Store Manager will also be yours. The Co-Manager is involved in:
- Hiring
- Developing and directing the store's employees
- Completing cash handling, safety, maintenance and merchandising responsibilities
- Operation of the store in the Store Manager's absence
- Ensuring all customers receive fast and friendly service in a clean facility every time they visit the store

The Shift Leader 1 position is an entry-level position for people who are looking to advance into management while gaining leadership experience and learning about our industry. Speedway SuperAmerica’s strong "promote from within" philosophy makes this the perfect position to get noticed and move ahead. In fact, after gaining experience and proper training, you might set your sights on the Shift Leader 2 position which includes higher level store administrative responsibilities.

The Food Steward ensures outstanding customer service is provided to food customers and that all food offerings meet the required stock levels and presentation standards. Beginning your career as a Food Steward will give you a strong foundation in Speedway SuperAmerica’s food segment that can make you a vital member of the front line team!
The Food Steward will have responsibilities that include:
- Executing the Food Service program, including preparing and presenting our wonderful food offerings to hungry customers on the go!
- Greeting customers in a friendly manner and suggestive selling and sampling items to help increase sales.
- Keeping our Store food area looking terrific and ready for our valued customers by managing product inventory, stocking, cleaning, etc.

The CSR will have responsibilities that include:
